Piercing Consent Ages: – 6+ for lobes (parental consent) – ⁠14+ for ear cartilage (parental consent) – ⁠14+ for facial piercings (parental consent) – ⁠16+ for all piercings except nipple and tongue (no parental consent required) – ⁠18+ for all piercings including nipple and tongue You must be at least 16 years old for a piercing according to the local health rules and regulations without consent form. If you are under this age, we need you to come with a guardian or parent who must sign a consent form in person. Please note that the guardian must have an official Legal Order or Letter of Guardianship. Feel free to call us to make sure you meet the requirements. To verify your identification we accept driving license, passport, Canadian Permanent Resident card, Canadian Citizenship Card with photo. Does it hurt to get piercing? What hurts for one client may not necessarily hurt for another because everyone perceives pain differently. However, in general, the following information is a good starting point for clients to identify the pain factor: In contrast to fleshy tissue, cartilage is more painful to pierce (inner and upper ear, septum). Because the tongue is typically pierced between the two muscles, it typically doesn’t hurt as much as other piercings. Remember that any pain you experience will be amplified by your nerves. The most crucial thing to remember is to relax as much as you can and focus on taking deep, steady breaths; this will help to minimize any discomfort. What kind of jewelry do you use for piercings? Your fist pre-sterilized surgical steel jewelry is included in the price. After the healing process you can change it to whatever you like. Do I Need To Book an appointment to get piercing? Yes please call/text to book an appointment WEEKDAYS: 9:30AM TO 3PM WEEKENDS: 9:30AM TO 6PM Can I consume alcohol or marijuana before my piercing appointment? No, because consuming alcohol thins your blood, which means more bleeding. It can affect the visibility for your artist and impact the quality of the piercing. Similarly, marijuana increases your heart rate that makes your blood flow more intense which means excessive bleeding. We strongly recommend not to consume any of those substances prior to your piercing appointment. Finally, it is at Blazing Spa discretion to reject a service if we suspect that you consumed alcohol or marijuana before your appointment. Is it safe to get piercing at Blazing Spa? Yes, completely safe! For most people piercings are safe as long as each artist and the entire studio strictly complies with the Toronto Public Health regulations. You can rest assured that Blazing Spa is trained and educates its team so that each artist puts their clients’ safety as a top priority. We have the highest level of sterilization possible and use only pre-sterilized high-quality materials and supplies. What forms of payment do you accept? We accept cash or credit (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Apple Pay). No checks. How long does it take for ear piercing to heal? A minimum of 6-8 weeks for ear lobe piercings and 12 weeks for ear cartilage piercings. You should only switch your earrings after the recommended healing period.
