It is considered a medical grade BB Cream. It is not just covering the skin but also treating the skin with peptides, minerals and hyaluronic acid. The serums contain ingredients such as niacinamide, EGF, peptides, hyaluronic acid and natural vitamins that offer anti aging and nourishment properties. The BB glow pigment components are small particles that sit in the epidermal layer of the skin giving the effect of a BB cream while brightening and evening out the skin tone. Effects last up to 4 weeks. Immediate results may be seen straight after the first procedure. However, the BB serum has a cumulative effect which means that it builds up under the skin with every single treatment. Therefore, should be maintained every 4-6 weeks on an ongoing basis to improve skin overtime. WHAT TO EXPECT DURING TREATMENT • The treatment will be around 40 minutes long • Instant brightening will occur and gradual brightening effect will follow • Reduces skin discolouration • Requires at least 2 sessions for longer lasting effects Pre-Treatment: • Arrive to your appointment makeup free. • You will be asked to discontinue use of Retin A, Retinols, Vitamin A creams and other topic medications for 3-5 days before your micro needling treatment. It is required that you wear a sunscreen daily and use the appropriate home care topical products. Post-Treatment: • Do not wash your face for 48 hours for optimal results • Nothing on the face for 48 hours (includes makeup, cleansing products etc.) • Avoid swimming for 1 week • Wear a broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen that is chemical free Immediate Side Effects: The immediate side effects are minor for most clients, and they include: • Pinpoint bleeding (might happen during the procedure on sensitive skin) • Redness • Irritation • Tightness • Minor skin peeling – more likely for dry skin All these are normal, since the surface of the skin is broken and a reaction is therefore inevitable. They should subside within 24 hours, except for the peeling, which can occur a few days later.
